Humidity control issues. Help

30 day return policy. It’s a small room but hopefully it can keep up. If not I’ll return it.

That's too high as a consistent range for sure..as the other guy said..spend the 500 buck on a room air conditioning unit (not a window unit). They are at Walmart right now for 500 beans...and the one I'm specifically talking about does heat, cooling and dehumidification. Everything you need in one unit that will vent via 4 inch exhaust piping.

This unit will help you in all stages of your grow including harvest/drying. Hope this helps.

Ehh my grow isn’t large enough to justify me spending an additional $500 on that. But other than that I have multiple other issues. 1. I don’t have anywhere to drain an in room AC unit, that was why I got a window unit. But 2. I have 4” opening on my tent but I’m not sure if it’s a defect or something because 4” ducting doesn’t fit in the opening. If I had a 4x4 or 5x5 it would probably be justified but I can’t see it with a 2x4. But I did order the 30 pint dehumidifier today so we will see how that works when it comes in. Then if I need to return it for a 70 pint in a few days I’ll do that

Right on, but if you think about it...your windows ac cost plus you dehumidifier cost brings you pretty darn close to the $500 dead presidents...start driving for uber or lyft...you can make $300-350 a day driving.

50 maybe, 70 overkill.

I've tried all of the above and a 50pint is perfect for my 4x8x8. The 70 was huge, sucked too much power, excessive heat. 30 ran all the time and was not responsive enough during big rh swings.

it looks good now. Long as I can get 50 and sub 50 humidity levels that’s what I needed and this is getting the job done from the looks of it.

only other thing I have for you all is my plants are about to go into week 3 of flower in a few days. Budding has happened with pistols on all plants but my plants are short and bushy. I figure they may get taller as flower continues but in case they don’t would defoliation be a bad thing? My plants have pretty large fan leaves due to I think being over fed at first before I flushed them. And leaves are blocking a lot of light to the bud sites. But I don’t want to harm the plant during flower and cause more harm than good. Any suggestions?

They look nice and I'm glad you got your rh down with the 30 pint. You'll get lots of opinions on defoliating. I defoliate but I'm trying to avoid doing any pruning during the stretch. Maybe wait until the stretch is over and remove a few fans that can't be tucked out of the way. We defoliate mainly for airflow and remove a few fans that are blocking buds. Also, any fan leaves that lay on each other and cause small water puddles, gotta go IMO.

Empty tank once a day. Bought a CO2 Exhale 365 bag so I’m hoping that helps a ton as well.

i plan on getting a reverse osmosis kit for my shower because none of my other sinks are adaptable and I’m renting so I won’t install an under counter one. Trying to have my next grow after I finish this one be amazing.

This is a terrible representation of VPD and will likely cause some people depending on lighting, issues with mold. I keep saying this everywhere and hopefully people realize this. VPD is only accurate when you take leaf temps into account. The leaf temps are the most important factor.

Take the CO2 bag back. It's an absolute waste of money if your not running a sealed environment. Even then they are garbage

I’ve used homemade co2 before with water yeast and sugar and it worked pretty well and I’ve always had exhaust. Key when using exhaust is to put your co2 generating things in the floor so the exhaust brings the co2 upward from the floor

I can appreciate your view and have done diy CO2 lots in the past only not in growing cannabis. The output is just not enough to make a difference with the amount of air exchange. I use a controller and it records CO2 levels in a sealed space. Just opening the door slightly the CO2 changes drastically. I understand CO2 very well and I can tell you those bags are garbage and will make little to no difference in a small sealed room nevermind one with air exchange.

I should add your diy yeast CO2 will produce a lot more than those bags. But still not enough when venting to make a difference.

Also if you don't have the lighting to benefit from CO2 then you gain nothing
