Humidity levels in grow tent

I have had a problem with low humidity here lately and I started coming up with ideas on how to raise it significantly. I have six three gallon smart pots in three rectagonal trays. All I did was place small dish saucers upside down inside the trays. I then placed my smart pots on those saucers and gradually filled the trays with water until the water level almost touched the bottom of my smart pots. Works great and will have to do until I can purchase a humidifier.

I keep my RH as low as possible. Everytime I water it bumps up to 40%...Im ok with that till it disapates. My flower room will never see 40% if I can help it. Mold sucks and is hard to get rid of because its airbourne. Keeping your RH down will prevent this.

Yeah my girls are just seedlings right now. That's why I'm trying to keep it at at least 40%. Thanks man.

I wouldnt set the plants in water. Place a bowl of water next to them, or better yet...boil some water till its steamy and place the hot water pot it in there once every 6 hrs or so.

That's why I've got em elevated but I see what you mean. It could cause mold on the bottom of my pots. But the water in the pans usually Evans within a day.

I kept my tent at 40 all the way through flower for my Northern Lights and I had zero issues with mold. I have found that even with dense buds, under 45 RH during flower and it is fine if you keep your space clean. I run as high as 60 when they're seedlings and about 50 all through veg.

A wet towel hung up in the room works as well. I live in Alberta where there is nearly 0% humidity all the time. After my first year, I gave up on worrying about it. Another year later, and it's just something I live with. Even with a humidifier, I don't see 30% humidity. It's usually 22-25% with lights on, and 27-29 lights off.

I have to water a bit more often, but other than that, I never have to worry about mold.

Guys, don't worry about low RH, it is not a big problem. IF they are in flower, the lower the humidity, the more the plant will try to cover itself with trics. I have seen some massive tric development from having a low RH. If you are not in flower, the only draw back to the low RH is the need to water the plants more often. In the world of growing issues, just needing to water more often is probably an issue a lot of grower would love to face.

humidity what is this thing use talk about ?? lol to be honest i gave up on humidity about 5 years ago aint gunna do shit in veg and just keep in low as possible in flower and im sure som1 is gunna rock up with there specs and charts to try and prove me wrong but i dont worry about it and it works fine for me just like my ph on out door plants ;)good luck on your grow u want some preium advice please inbox me
