What is the best way to get my humidity up.. my tomatoe plants are basiclly finished vegitation and i cant seem to get the humidity past 20% is this bad and if so how do i up it to around 50%?

you buy a humidifier from walmart or a hardware stor or on line,thats your best bet,the plants like humidity at 45 50,or the stomata under the leaves gets a sore thoat and shuts down,but when you have the good humidity it opens up for more air=more growth.What is the best way to get my humidity up.. my tomatoe plants are basiclly finished vegitation and i cant seem to get the humidity past 20% is this bad and if so how do i up it to around 50%?

place a humidifier outside of your intake fan and allow it to blow in the watered air. If you place it inside a box your humidity is going to shoot straight up to 90-100%. By placing it outside near the intake fan it should mix with outside air and keep your humidity around 50%.

if its closed off i just use some wet hand towels and they get it up there decently cheap and effective and you dont have to spend any money unless you want to then go to wal mart and in the health section they have humidifiers

You can also (learned this in horticulture school) put the plant on a saucer (water catching tray from the pots) filled with rocks. Pour water on the rocks until its covering the rocks. Put the plant on top of the rocks, and instant humidity. Works great for my other plants, MJ hates humidity though.

Sorry, but I just don't see how that can possibly increase humidity.

welll the light/heat evaperats (wow i know thats spelt wrong) the water in the treys putting moist air in the air which is humidity....the rock are so your pant dosnt get that stagnic water and get some kind of root rot....That how that works

Maybe in theory, but I have yet to see an idea like yours(I've tried numerous other methods as well) move my hygrometer to an acceptable level. The only thing that does that is a humidifier.

I thought the same thing, until I tried it. Put a hygrometer in, humidity increased dramatically. I dont do it to my mj, but my houseplants that love humidity thrive this way. Dont need a humidifier as long as the water level in the saucer is just at the top of the rocks, fill it every other day, change it every week or so.

so i found an old humidifire and placed it outside my grow room right behind my inline fan so it would bring in the humid air but over about a 24 hour period my humidity stays at 20% i dont know what im doing wrong.. i guess ill try that towel trick out next

Put the humidifier inside the grow room. I have two small humidifiers inside my grow tent. It was 20% RH before, it's about 50% now. Try it for an hour and then check on it. With good ventilation a lot of humidity will be removed so it shouldn't sky rocket.
U guys wanna talk low humidity?... Mine likes hang out around 14%! Only way i've found to get my humidifyer to raise my humidity was by actually venting it towards the plants with some leftover dryer ducting from my cooltube. It did raise the humidity, but then i had to contend with the ducting trying to drip all over

i put the humidfir inside the growroom and in 3 hours the humidity was still at 20%........... WTF i think my hydrometer is fucked or something.. whats the worst case senario with my room at 20%the whole growth?
