right before it comes u could wrap it in burlap lose and then stake it off in a couple spots... but if it hits hard enough theres nothing u could do...

I agree, wrap them with something breathable and wait it out. MJ is an extremely tough plant and will rebound to more abuse than you can imagine.

a hurricane is... a hurricane man. ... No matter how tough the plant is, if it gets too close or too windy, everything pretty much vanishes lol..

I do believe he's gonna brace it too, hopefully!

do not wrap it in anything!

Do you know how a sail works?

It works by slowing down the wind...the extra speed/power is transfered to the mast/ship and you can move a large ship this way.

You want the wind to go through the plant with the LEAST amount of resistance. Not extra resistance.

If anything maybe tie a few branches together so there is more airflow through the plant.

yea , but when burlap gets wet it gets heavy and will catch wind just like a sail and he'll have to set and tamp in some serious fence posts to hold it at just 70 mph not to mention if wind gets under that burlap its gonna b like a parachute

okay well i had a similar problem yesterday.. tornado's went threw where i live so i had to quickly protect it once we received warning.. which was only 40 mins notice by the way. anyways i got a big barrel like the one you catch water in.. i flipped upside down over my plant pushed it in the soil as much as possible and put two cinder blocks on top, there was enough air in the barrel to last till morning and so i left it there and hoped for the best anyways this morning when i checked up on it it was fine the tornado didn't touch down right there it was about km away but it was mighty windy like trees fell down around the area but my baby was okay.. maybe try that.

Forget the burlap. That just seems ridiculous. Last year we had one come threw the area around here. Go get yourself a shitload of bamboo stakes and garden tape. Tie everything up real good, then hope for the best.

How big is the plant? If no bigger than a trash can cover the plants with em and stake the cans down with rope and put something heavy on top of the cans.
