Sorry to hear you are in Fay's path.... although I believe she's only a TS not a hurricane (maybe she was one yesterday????) so hopefully the winds aren't enough to take out your plants. Anyway... at least you still have power so you can hang out here.

I don't know about your plants.... how sturdy is the stalk/stem? I'll keep my fingers crossed that she's ok :D .... Fay is headed my way as well :(

I brought my plants inside the bedroom, they are all diesel ryders(autoflowering) so light wasn't an issue for a night.

Today was breezy so I sit them outside on the patio today and will move them back to original spot tomorrow.

just worried about losing power.....i know i know, i'm a tard for not having the gen yet but i swear to god if i make it through with out losing juice for a day or so and my precious babie live .....it's the very next thing i'm buying. thinkin about a big propane powered kw house generator with the phase switch so i could live off the grid if i wanted to ...kinda cool huh?

$12k for a 20kw home generator? doesn't include 500gl propane tank, fitting or PERMITS (?). For $12,000 I'll let them die, buy off buddies, and start over. LoL
Would be nice to have as a creature comfort, but for $12k I'm going to Amsterdam for a month! LoL

Actually, I live in Central CA, We rarely have a blackout, and then it's fixed fast, So I have no need, and am only playing with you. Having grown up in Arkansas I feel ya on the blackouts and completely understand why it would be worth your $

I don't have the money for one of those huge home generators... but if I did I would get one for sure. Nothing to do with plants either..... it's just too damn hot and humid here to be without a/c.

This is the generator I have.... I wire it into the house main after a hurricane. not enough to run everything... but it will run the fridge, stove, a tv, a portable a/c and all the ceiling fans.

i hear ya....but it's a viable option for me and worth the $ in the long haul...once it's paid for you only have to fill the tank.

oh i know...no offense taken

wait a minute, how did he flower plants outside when it's still 15 hours of light a day here!!! wtf
yeah, my plant is flowering and we have
Sunrise: 06:55:00 AM
Sunset: 07:52:00 PM
...so 13hrs ON, 11hrs OFF is apparently all the light we need.

Fay has had me scared as well. I went out to check on my girl this morning during a rain-less period and was a bit disappointed by what I saw; she was alive, so that's great, but she's looking a bit scraggly, yellow, and soaked.

I just hope root rot doesn't set in ...

I'm scared to go check on her again after this morning's rain...how do you know if you've got root rot or bud rot?

I found some information on this wiki page about root rot, and now I'm pretty worried.
I also found some information on this cannabis.com page about bud rot, and I'm even more worried.

When I checked yesterday, she was yellowing more than she has in a long time, so I'm thinking it might be a symptom of root rot :-( The buds were also really wet. I never use foliar methods of delivering nutrients, so these buds are definitely the wettest I've ever seen them...and, IMHO, wet buds are never desired.

If root rot is caused by too much water (read; not enough oxygen), is this something that hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) can take care of? The wiki article says that it's incurable and usually fatal :'-(

Wishing everyone the best of luck through these hard FL times.
I hope we can all help each other.
