we are in tangipahoa parish; should be far enough north for it to be just another hurricane.... dont have any damn money to leave, and my family refuses to even come as far as my house, so i want to stay here for them also..... the birds and animals still havent took off yet; thats a good sign

my uncle was working on a barge off of Louisiana and they evaced two days ago and just got home in texas yesterday. He told me that new orleans was a ghost town, everyone left their cars in the middle of the road people had no water/gas and many were huddled in the streets crying with their families. This sistuation is a lot worse than it looks on tv, if something trajic does happen hopefully ot won't take 3 days to help.
