Hey everybody I just finished my indoor tent set up here are some pics tell me what you think...suggestions would be appreciated. Here is a list of everything I have going.

  • 4x4x6.5 Hydro Box Hut(from Ebay)
  • 6" Active Air inline fan rated for 400CFM
  • Hydrofarm Daystar AC reflector

  • 400watt Sunleaves MH/HPS switchable ballast
  • All the necessary duct work
I have a Wonder Woman and a LA Woman that are about one month old( they were growing outdoors but were moved inside yesterday) in there right now, and three more Wonder Woman feminized seeds soaking. I'm using Fox Farm Ocean Forrest potting soil in 2 gal pots along with the full line of Fox Farm nutrients.:bigjoint:

Hey santeelocal, nice looking setup! Few suggestions, first, hang that surge protector higher up the tent; ideally oustide of the tent. Water and electricity do not mix well. Same goes for ballast, but the extra heat that it gives off could be a non factor if you placed it outside of tent, but of course, this may or may not be an option in your growing situation. Also, intake should be at the bottom of the tent, hot air flows up naturally. Good luck with your grow.

Hey Texian thanks for the advice the surge protector and ballast will be moved outside the tent this week I had to order an extension "lock and seal" cord for the hydroFarm reflector, but at least this way I could get some plants in there. There are three intake flaps at the bottom of the tent that let fresh air in, the fan is sucking air from the top of the tent and pulling it through the light( the duct on the right side of the reflector is open to the tent at the top). So far the temps are good 64°F at night to 79° during the day with the light on.

Is that an older hydrohut? If so there were some problems with the materials they were using. If you see your plants starting to yellow for no reason you have bum tent. Just send it back and they will fix it for you. I know its a PITA but it will kill the plants .

It's actually not a HydroHut it's A hydro box hut( I got it on Ebay 4x4x6.5 FT HYDROPONICS GROW TENT HYDRO BOX HUT CABINET) and they assured me that it has no off gasing and is non toxic. Thanks for lookin out though

I finally got my Hydro farm extension cable today so the surge protector and the ballast are now outside the tent. Three more Wonder Woman seeds cracked today, I put them in soil I should see sprouts in about a week.

Here are some updated pics of my first indoor grow. 1 LA Woman and 4 Wonder Woman. I still need to get a fan speed controller because 400 CFM is a little overkill for my tent, I'm having trouble keeping the humidity up.

Here is an update on my grow. I have 4 Wonder Woman, 1 LA Woman, 1 Cotton candy, 1 White widow and a sour diesel. The White Widow and the Sour Diesel were flowering outside but weren't doing to well so I decided to finish them up inside to try to salvage them. All of the plants are at different stages in growth but the youngest have been veging for two weeks. Let me know what you think.:weed:

Nice looking setup!

I have the same exact thing as you but I have found the frame to be very flimsy. Did you do anything to reinforce it to hang the light and blower or did it just work for you? Mine bent at one of the joints with minimal pressure!
