Hydro build tip...

I am currently not growing for the foreseeable future due to outside pressures and decided to try and hone in my growing skills! Anyways, I was building a hydro setup (aero/dwc) and came upon something interesting. Does anybody else realise that you do not need sprayers? I used half inch pvc, drilled very small holes in sets of 6 along the pipe and turned them towards the net pots. It works great and shaves the cost of sprayers off the build. Now, I know sprayers aren't the most expensive things in the world but, why not save money where you can?

You have to get water to those roots somehow until they reach the water. I suppose you could run a drip ring or hand water, but with young plants they can dry out very quick that I don't like the hand watering option because you have to do it so frequently.

What? Did you even read what I posted? You don't need sprayers as the water reaches the pots without sprayers! Ever have a leak in a pressure hose or pipe? The water sprays and that's why I skipped the sprayers and it works just fine.

how small of a hole because theses roots grow into to smallest of holes

I used an 11/64 and the roots will not grow into the holes as the water would keep them from growing into the holes.

I'm going to build me. A areo tote cloner today I'll give it a shot
It is cheap and easy as hell! Also, you do not need to cement the manifold as the pvc will hold itself in place. Saves a little more money, and makes it easy to clean. The fact that they charge hundreds of dollars for this crap is simply amazing.
