hydro drip system - roots reaching reservoir

Hi
I started a drip system with a Rubbermaid tote that uses about 10 gallons of water. I have 2 large air stones and drip every 5 hours or so for 10 minutes. All is well, but the roots have gotten so long they are starting to touch the water in the reservoir with the nutrients.

Should I lower the water or is it ok if some roots are submerged?

Thanks guys! I was worried about root rot, but I do have air stones and will keep an eye on the roots. Right now they are nice and white and getting longer everyday.
So you wouldn't bother with the drip if the roots are in the nutrient reservoir?

Keep the drip going it will only help and have no negative effects...
