Hydro guard??

H202 is the shit, extremely cheap, easy to find and it's great as a preventative. Not so sure how it fares for curing, although some growers have done it- or so they claim. After using about 3ml/l and adding back 25% I swear I got rid of this unpleasant smell, could be my imagination though.

I switched to chlorimine not long ago and MAN do I love that chlorine smell when I check the reservoir (makes it seem clean). Smells just like... victory.

Never tried hydro guard but I'm a huge fan of h2o2. Shit keeps slime at bay and I always use it in every res changem
But if hydroguard is à benefit bacteria it must bè better that stérile h202 .they say beneficial bacteria give more root more fast. Still very cheap i order it because i cant find it near my place it cost me 95 $ with shipping for a gallon ship over border 1 ml per litter =4000 litter

Well you have to sides. One says it's better to have a dead reservoir and the others are fans of colonizing it with good microorganisms. Both ways help protect the roots but this is where their similarities end, bleach, h202 etc don't do shit for the roots, while bennies help break down organic matter and generaly allow more uptaking of nutrients.

I switched to beanies from sterile and will never go back lol. And H2O2 is not easy to get here FYI and its very pricey, well the 35% anyways.

Also if you do happen to get the rot the only thing that actually seemed to help at that point and act quickly was hydroguard out of the three things I tried, the other two being bleach, which worked better then the H2O2. It may have been the ratio's but with the guard I didn't worry about too much being added.
