when in the bath with plain water can dettol be used to help clean them or is bleach best

Why not put them in a roaster and into the oven a 450, rinse them off with fresh water, done. I've never done it but why not?

If you use bleach, Rinse, rinse, rinse, or you will burn the shit outa your roots. Been there, done that. I now just dump my hydroton in a 5 gal. water bath with a quart of dollar store, h202. works like a champ.

When i did shale and hydroton, i used h202 soak. then dry the media on a tarp, then rinse, reuse.
