Hydroganics pics. Any Advice? (PICS)

ok so im experimenting with this new way of growing. dotn know much about it besides reading an article. its a bit of a pain in the ass so far, but hopefully it will be well worth it. i started the seedling in a rapid rooter, waited till i saw roots, put them in rockwool cubes. when the roots started coming out of the rockwool, i transfered them to these homade pots. all i did was make a template, then cut out the pattern from some plastic and put it in there, used some caulking and sealed off the 2 sides from eachother. used foxfarm perlite on one side, fox farm ocean forres on the other. looking good so far, to me at least . ill keep this one updated

so the last two pics, are NOT from this method of growing. just the srtain i will be growing

Sound like a plan to me Bro..... but you do know you can just leave them in the rapid rooter plugs,right .....thats what I do , works fine for me, and you don't take the risk of dammaging your babies.....just something to ponder........

i did leave them in. if you take the rockwool covers off, you will see i just set the rapid rooter in the cut out hole. it worked fine, but i just decided to do this method while my seedlings were in the rooters already or else i would of put them in small rockwool.

My bad ..could'nt tell.....from my experience they seem to root a little faster in the RR plugs .so looks like you've got a good thing going .....keep us posted and good luck Bro........

yeah i actually wedged like 6 rooters into a red plastic cup at the top, and just watered daily and let the roots hang untill the got to the bottom almost of the cup before i took them out

What type of lights are you using ?????

i have a sun system t5 light setup. it has 2 blue and 2 red bulbs. i think its 24 inches long, im thinkg about getting some cfls to compliment the light since now i put these big ass pots in my veg room, i cant keep it very close to the plants because all the plants are spread so far apart. but im hoping they will be ok since the mylars working pretty well and is still nice and shiny

You may want to hang a 40w datlight cfl over each plant....looks like they are streching ......I saw some picks the other day where the plants were 8-9 inches tall and only had the first set of real leaves........I would put a cfl about 2 inches from the top of each plant , shorter, bushy,more nodes, more buds.....just a suggestion BRO....hope you can use the info........

yeah. i just potted them last night and and i hasd to raise the light big time. im seeing what i have around the house right now, but soon i know im gonna need a alittle more light

ok so no new pics today, not much to show different than last time. its like 50 or 60 all day in my room so my seedlings are taking a while to get taller, but the roots are growing everyday. theres already roots going into each side of the pot so i think this is gonna work as long as i dont fuck it up
