Hydrogen Peroxide On New Plants

Just poured a cap (the one from the bottle) of hydrogen peroxide on my seedlings, then sprayed them with water, 6 squirts per plant.
Plants are 1-2 inches above ground. Was that a bad Idea, I tested it on a flower I'm growing, the flower seemed to have benefited from the same dosage, but the flower is about 5 inches tall with 2 big leaves.

Any Ideas? Thanx.

I would not advice putting hydro per on seedlings if the plants have been grown in the right way there should be no need for it.If this would have been done with clones ones they had a root sytem then i would understand but you could be causeing more damage than good.Once the plants are a few months old then it might be fine to use but i have never heard of it been used on seedlings.................tyke..................

"O2 to the roots is a big concern, since the plant requires this for nutrients to be available, and to rid itself of toxins, etc. One of the easiest things to do is use food grade hydrogen peroxide in the water to increase the availability of oxygen in the water. H2O2 has an extra oxygen atom that will easily break away and can be used by the plant. Oxygen Plus is a plant food that contains 25% hydrogen peroxide and is perfect for this use."

you want to use the peroxide on the roots not the foliage, the normal use is in the watering to help with o2 and to take care of some sludge problems in mainly hydro conditions. you want to use seltzer water on the leafs, it contains co2 in which the plants need for accelerated growth.

one other bonus of using h2o2 is that it will kill all of your bennies, and now you have to re-apply them. you want air in the root-zone, use perlite....

No im not using any beneficials, can you suggest some?? I'm using miracle grow potting soil, which has slow release nutes in it, I was told not to use nutes for 3 weeks.

most of the time i use this stuff. seems like everyone is making some variation of this. you want something that is gong to keep the roots in good shape. when you combine the two, they kind of come to life, and start eating dead/decaying organics. you have to re-apply monthly. and these aren't nutrients, you don't mix with food mixes.
