Hydrohut

has anyone usesd a hydrohut? i just got one for cheap,just wondering if its worth keeping? its 52"x52"x7' will fit a 4x4 ebb and flow tray inside...

hydro huts are known to kill plants because of a fume it gives off.... but if you got it for real cheap.... i guess you should keep it. I'd sell it and go get a Secret Jardin Dark Room.....

fumes? there is no smell in the hut...even if there was it should be exhausted out... how much is a Secret Jardin Dark Room? i was going to use the hut to veg and other path of room for flower...i have it up for sale on craigslist

Ive been using one and I have been the one that has been killing my plants I think but someone brought this to my attention the other day International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - Hydrohuts killing plants... it's finally over so I don't know. We will have to see if I can get a good harvest out of it. I know others have and have just recently heard of any problems.

Yes a 4x4 ebb and flow system will fit in there. They also make a "Sun Hut" that is like a hydrohut but cheaper and it comes with a lot more. You should check it out.

secret jardin is the most advance tent on the planet!!! fuck a homebox, fuck a hydro hut, fuck a sun hut.

they all are shit compared to the dark room.


what grow tent you know that has side door access windows? what grow tent you know that is thermally insulated to give you a nice defense against those pesky Infrared and Thermal Imaging Technology?

what grow tent you know gives you more holes for more adequate ventilation?

why grow tent you know has a better reflective material than others. the dark room doesnt use just white poly for reflectiveness.... it has better material to reflect light.

did i mention that the secret jardin dark room comes with a portable carrying bag to put it away if need be?


what other grow tent can compete with that?

hmmmm i just se it up and didnt have a toxic smell...well either way i bougt it for 90$...so its a gain eiter way...oh by the way my tent is like 6 months old so hopefully its an improved model...

you think it would be that easy to exhaust the fumes out, but it really isnt!!!!

Thanks for the info LoudBlunts. I hadn't heard of these before. I like the dementions they come in. Maybe time to pick one up!

No problem. yes, they are fairly new. i wish everybody would know about these, i might start a new thread because if people knew about these tents.....i dont think they'd waste their money on sucky hydro huts, sun huts, and homeboxes....


the dark room PWNS/OWNS ALL!

well i wont even start a grow in there then...just sell it and get double what i paid....

I have been using 4 seperate 4x4x7 Hydro Huts, 1000w hps in each one for a couple years now and have never had an issue. Ebb n Flowing with 4x4 trays and have only had great results.

I would have liked mine a lot better if i didnt have to send it back. Took 2 weeks but I should have it tommrow.. Their customer service sux, good product if it worked out of the box.. All the flangues are extra too and the straps to mount a fan dont work either..

I bought the Hydrohut original about 2 weeks ago and within 5 days my previously healthy plants are now almost white!!!!

They are only babies (about 2 inches tall) and since they have not grown and all new growth came in bright yellow and is now white with spots forming.

I have them in nuetral seed starting soil and have been using pH6.5 water every 3 days with a feeding every 2nd watering.

So, I realized it was the friggin hut because of these forums and because I have never had a problem growing before this....

I took 1 plant out and within 48 hours, it reverted to being much greener!

**** I personally know 2 people from grasscity forums that replaced the covering with the newly "fixed" one only to have the SAME issue!

Read the faq on Homeboxs' site to read about how the chemically treated PVC is killing the plants...

I won't even bother returning it to be fixed... gonna eat the $$$ and buy either a homebox or a darkroom

I want to run my Vortek 600 cfm blower inside the ten and attacked to my coolable light reflector and then from the other side of the reflector to my goblin carbon filter... but it looks as though both the homebox and darkroom will have issues as they are BOTH missing the cool little hanging bars that came with the defunct hydrohut

The secret jardin has a movable roof support system, why cant you use those to hang your fan and filter?

I finally got my hut back.. It took 2 hours for 2 people to set it back up.. Its a lot of work.. It was a brand new hut too.. weird

I saw that, but if I use those then what do I hang my light from?

I want to hang the fan by the roof hole with ducting going to one side of my light... then from the other side of my light to the filter.

See, this way air gets scrubbed through the filter and passed through the light to cool it and then through the fan and out the tent.

The hydro huts extra hangy bars allowed the fan to be supported while still giving me 4 bars to hang lights and filter from with fan directly under hangy things on right top of tent... light hanging from 2 middle roof supports in middle of tent and the filter hanging from leftmost bard on left of tent.

The dark room looks sick, but I am afrais that after moving the bars to hang the fan... I will have nowhere to hang the filter on the other side of the tent?!!!

With the way the dark room is set up i would HAVE to have the light+filter+fan all routed together and alas, I do not think it possible

Please, if I am wrong please tell me.

it took me 15 mins to set mines up!

i use a secret jardin dark room much more congruent to the process of cultivating cannabis a great product thru and thru... hydro hut lost my bisness because of the recall... but at least they admit their error and are taking the steps to fix it.. dark room kicks boootay....(ass).

I ended up buying a Homebox (will get to my place in about 3 days - so we'll see), but as cool as the dark room looked, I ended up not getting it because of how hard it was to find in stock... there is only like 1 U.S. distributor and BGH said they had 0 idea when they could get 1 to ship... so....

I'll keep ya all posted!

I really don't care how good the Homebox is VS the Dark room... after the hydrohut killed my plants... I will behappy with just about ANYTHING that does not KILL my babies..lol

yea...they went like hot pancakes...that is why i tried to tell everybody when they were in stock....


they come from the factory and damnit man!!! bout vanished in a few weeks. im pretty sure they are increasing production tho!
