I've been looking around at some hydro systems and I've seen several diy dorm fridges that have been converted into hydroponic grow chambers. I was wondering, aside from the usual system upkeep questions, if such a device is wothwile. I'd gladly go for it, but I've heard that plants can grow up to six+ feet in height, and these chambers are usually about 3 feet or less (with the lights and pump and everything installed). Any advice on what to do? Should I cut my plants, or should I spend some more dough and get a full-size grow tent, and buy all my own pumps and lighting and install it myself, or buy one of these pre-fab models?
