would'nt work well, keeping the resevoir from getting alge and not to mention the electricity needed to run any kind of hydro setup, basicly there is a reason people don't do it, it is waaaaaay more work than it would be worth.

not true, theres a thread on here i recently saw that is a easy hydro setup that could easily work outdoors, just take a bucked drill a hole into the side few inches up, then put the plant in somethin like 4 parts perlite 1 part vermiculite,if i remember correctgly, then water the plant in the bucket till the water comes out the hole, then just let the plant grow and the tap will eventually reach the water, but u gotta water it alot

wanna hear another secret. up north, humboldt county, they have flood tables in greenhouses. yes my friends outdoor hydro. it gets even better. the greenhouses have shade clothes so the light hours can be controlled. they flower in the summer outdoor hydro.

I cant wait for my greenhouse. I'm hoping to have one by the beginning of next year! Buying a shed next month, for an outdoor...indoor grow. Don't have room inside the house. Definitely going to look into somthing like an auto-awning. Sort of like light shades, this way they will run off a timer!

I've been thinking about trying something like the bucket idea for awhile now. I've been coming up with different ideas trying to perfect and things. I'm going to get a 5 gal bucket, with some drip hoses coming off of it. Then i'm going to put a little valve on the hose, just fill the bucket up with my nutes, keep the valve open just barely enough to drip water on it every once in a great while. It will keep if perfectly watered the entire time. I should only have to visit like once every 2-3 weeks. I'm also thinking about doing a two hose system for two different plants.
