Hydroponics Store

I am going to the hydroponics store to get lights, soil, nutes, etc. If someone who works there asks me what i'm growing to help me choose the right products what should I say? Is there any plant that needs the same stuff that Ganja needs?

lol especially if you buy Mylar. Then they know what's up. My shop keep just gave me a big smile when I asked for Mylar.

or you could go all scientific on them: dioecious, annual, short day plant... if you drop that at the average hydro store you may get a smile and a nod or just blank stares... it seems that most of the "experts" in hydro stores only know about one kind of plant... curious, no? lol

Most of the hydro stores must know that a good portion of their business goes to growing Ganja. The fuzz must know that many growers shop at hydro stores for one reason. Ever hear of the fuzz hanging around hydro stores and getting license plate numbers?

I went to a hydro shop today to get some pH calibration solution and actually said I was growing tomatoes.
Trying to be a smart arse the shop owner asked what tomatoes I was growing, so I reeled off 10 different heirloom tomato varieties that I am actually growing - describing each type as I went.
I think he actually believed me in the end.
He ended up trying to sell me a nice aquaponics set-up like the one he had in his shop - full of beautiful Barramindi fish (if you ever come to Australia you gotta try the Barramindi ... yummy).

Damn! If I was running a shop like that it would just be a DONT ASK DONT TELL situation. It can only hurt the business to interrogate customers for buying certain products.

well when the customer initiates the conversation the person in the shop is supposed to talk about what the customer said. Good friendly business practice.

That's true, I guess if I was running that kind of business I would have to ask people what they were growing in some cases.

It might just be the hydro stores in the bay but there pretty much 100% geared towards cannabis. Alot of them are right around the corner from dispensaries. The one i most frequent even has dispensary flyers and cards on the counters
