My hydro shop offered me a 7 ft tall 5 feet wide and 4 feet deep grow tent. for 120 or a even bigger one for 150 not sure the spec's.

I asked about the thing with plants dieing cause of the material and he said that these don't have that issue he has one set up in the shop and everything. I checked it out very well..

Heres my dilemma.. I am using me closet now and I very much would like to have closet space back damn it! So.. I also want to have a veg and flower rooms.

I have a good sized shed big enough for the grow tent for sure but its cold at night i'm sure a light in there would keep it warm I sprouted a few in the shed even though it was cold, a good 1 out of 5 made it :( thats with no heater.

If I get one of these rooms what should I look to get for it. smell isn't a issue with my current setup but it will be with this one because of more plants.

I want to grow atleast 6 plants in each tent or whatever i'm not sure what they can hold in them.

My questions are as follows:

What lights and shit do I need? Whats the average price they will cost? I'm going to check the prices at the hydroshop to what you guys think and get the best deal. Also what would be the ideal set up for me just wanting to have like 6-10 plants veg and have some in flower too?

Well the hydro shop said $200 for the tent its a 7 foot 4 wide and 2 deep. he said a 400 watt would be good and it would cost about $250 for the whole set up.

so i'm looking at almost 500 bucks how much bud would I average out of a set up like this tent if i vegged in it and then flowered in it?

I don't know exactly what kind of tent this guy is selling, but it SOUNDS like a great deal. However, if the tent is cheap because it is, well . . . cheap, you'd be better off spending a few more bucks for the real deal (no light leaks, durability, etc.).

From all of my reading, it seems like you could get away with a 400, though you might want to throw some extra flouros or mh in there as well. I'm assuming the $250 light system doesn't come with the best reflector, so you'd have to do some mods if you want an air-cooled light. That would help you get the light a bit closer. Whichever, you need some good ventilation or your babies will burn.

Anyone wanna back me up here? I'm certainly no expert but have definitely been doing my homework these days.

Good luck, Chaotic. Look forward to reading your grow journal if you get everything and decide to document.

If the tent is on sale and there's nothing wrong with it I'd buy it

what kinds of lights are you using? my CFL lights are keeping my room perfect with my window always open

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Can you get the maker of the tent as the sizes are odd ball sizes.A 4x7 tent is wierd as tent in that area are 4x8 so they accept 4x8 tables and are usually 7 feet tall. Then you have smaller tents for 3x3 tables and 4x4 tables. In a tent that will handle a 4x4 table a 600 watt light works. If you have a 8 foot or in your case a 7 foot long tent you need 2 lights or one on a light mover to make that long of a run. For me in a 8 foot long tent I run 2 600 watt lights.Digital 600 watt switcahble ballsts can be bought new and overclocked for $119 at Maryland Hydroponics a single 400 watt light isnt enough in these larger tents but can work in a 4x4 tent but Id still reccomend a 600 watt or bigger. You will also need 2 fans one for intake 1 for exhaust. Then a oscalating fane to keep air moving. Tents work on the principle of negative pressure so you need to make the vacum..See what maker the tent is if its hydro hut, sun hut, secret jarden or other. If it is a hydro hut which is my prefered make sure its the newer model and not a discounted model that had the bad chemical materail that could be poisonous.if its the newer models its fine and good deals but the sizes sound off for it to be hydro hut or sun hut.
