hydroton???

how the fuck do you all clean your hydroton rocks after harvest, seems like getting all the roots out is a loosing battle everytime i think i got them all i find more?

When I was trying to clean up my hydroton I boiled them all in a big vat to make all of the little roots fall off, then I rinsed the hydroton off in the sink one large scoop at a time in a colander. That worked pretty well for me. Its time consuming though.

yeah don't get me wrong i was just wondering if the little hair thin roots that are left will affect anything. i've gotten the majority of the roots out its just those tiny ones that just don't seem to go away

You can add Hydrozyme or Florashield to your nutes and all the dead roots and organic matter will be basicly be eaten by the microorganisms. Sub Culture works too.
