damn, that loctite has a sweet calyx to leaf ratio. it's gonna be a breeze to trim.

any recommendations on a shorter variety? i was really looking at marionberry kush, has any other strain stood out to you recently?

In small amounts possibly. You don't want to over saturate the soil. You can mix in or topdress good quality ewc instead of a compost tea and you can topdress malted seeds instead of making an seed sprout tea too.

Can I use this method with liquid fertilizers ? Or is suitable for dry ferts..?

Better than the average t5. It's the same as the aquarium bulbs. They do have a 660 bulb though. You can still get zoo med flora suns cheaper. Yet have the fullest spectrum of all t5.

I really like this locktite pheno. I didn't like marrionberry at all. It's all preference. Most of my strains run 9 -10 weeks. Afghani is shorter flower. I have some from seed going now. I haven't sexed them. It's basically a landrace indica from sensi seeds. It supposedly finishes in 45 days. Plants always go longer than they say. Hindu kush is another good one that's shorter flower.

My locktite is gorilla glue x Mt rainier. Gg4 is about 67 days. Mt rainier is 10 -11 weeks. Ironically the locktite finishes in 63-65 days.

I haven't seen anyone use bottled nutes for this method. It's more meant for living soil. Whether it's amended or probiotic or both.

Once you go true natural organic . You will never go back to bottled nutes. The quality is just too good.

Man that gorilla glue stretches so much. I had to put into a scrog a little late at day 10. It would be probably 6 1/2 feet tall now if I didnt. This is day 15 it's taking up a whole 4x4 by itself.

i have some feminized critical kush x afghani and a s1 of tahoe og
that i'm getting ready to flower now, i can already tell the og is
gonna get leggy.

the SIP method is fairly similar older incarnations of the ppk (passive
plant killer) used by vertical growers to produce 1.5 lb+ trees. i added
the ppk pdf, figured it would be a good addition to a SIP thread.

LST does create a nice canopy and exposes many buds to more light. I use pots with holes around the top for twist ties. The plants are trained and can be moved individually. I prefer to water outside the tent and since I use 7 liter trash baskets, they are quite portable. If I wanted bigger plants I could simply veg longer and use bigger pots. For the perpetual gardener LST provides a way of individual harvest and great light exposure. Been using it a long while. Just spilled my coffee in my lap... gotta go now!

switching out bulbs every 6 months at the latest(darkened end-caps @ 3 months) , i remember those days.............fun times

Have any of you tested the "USA MADE" Hortilux Lamps?
I am curious if they are of better quality than the Chinese made lamps

No, I don't know anyone using them^^^, but the zoomed t5 bulbs are made in germany==== still had fast depreciation

They're not U.S. made. They're either from China, Germany, or the U.K. It's been illegal to produce fluorescent in the U.S. for 127 years thanks to JP Morgan Then in 1976 the EPA banned the manufacture or production fluorescents bulbs in the U.S. If hortilux is claiming they were made in the U.S., it makes me wonder what else they lied about.

Yep. Their hid bulbs are made in the U.S. but not their flourescents. They would be shutdown for violating environmental law if they did.
