i accidentally left my lights on for 3 weeks straight

All i can say is fuck a million times! I’ve only just realized my timer hasn't been cutting in so my plants haven't had darkness for over three weeks! I’ve been growing a few kush and haze seeds indoor for the last three weeks and im now seriously worried that their not going to grow to their full capability due to my major fuck up! The plants look healthy and their a nice size even tho they should be bigger by now. ive fixed the problem and their now getting 6 hours darkness but im worried that the damage has already been done?? and are they going to start flowering now as they've never had darkness before or will i be able to get another week or so in veg stage?? and will this affect the quality of my final produce??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Not an issue. Many people leave their lights on 24/7 until flower time. They will not start to flower until you give them 12 hours(at least) of darkness everyday. You're plants will be fine, provided everything else is correct. You're electric bill may suffer though.

some people have their lights on 24/0 but to extend the day cycle from lets say an 18/6 cycle would probably fuck them up. anddd only the amt of darkness can induce the flowering.. if i were u i wouldnt worry too much. u should just slowly start inducing flowering by taking 2 hours off a week until 12/12 if ur trying to go into flowering...but if not u got nothing to worry about. marijuana is one of the most vigorous plants in the world, i believe they can survive anything, but fire hahaha. good luck with ur grow

If they are now getting 6 hours dark it sounds like he might have been on 18/6, if that's the case then he has nothing to worry about, if he was a few weeks into flowering, that might be a different story

yeah not an issue
In veg you can go 24/0 and a lot do and most do with seedlings.
18/6 you save a bit of electricity and there is photosynthesis, but some say cannabis does not need the same dark period for photosynthesis.
But lights on 24/0 doesn't hurt them so to speak just makes em work extra hard.
I did lights on 24/0 for the first 6 weeks from seedlings then switched to 18/6 for the next 6 weeks.

i was in the veg stage, they've been growing for 3 weeks but have had no darkness! i've switched them to 18/6 but i want another week or so of veg, will they start to flower now from the light change?

lol i didn't refresh the page!
thanks for your advice kevin, its greatly appreciated!
All good bro!
Some peeps get miffed at peeps for asking questions they feel are too noobish but I disagree! the only bad question is the one not asked!
Good luck with your grow and keep us posted. Maybe start a proper journal to document the whole process..

Nothing to worry about, I've done 24/0 with pretty much all of my plants when they are starting veg. Just makes them burn through nutes from being in overdrive

Not a problem, I've had to switch back and forth between 18/6 and 24/0 and my plants have been fine.

I had my lights on 18/6 and while about to switch to 12/12 accidentally left lights on for the last 48 hours. Plants look weak. I switched back to 18/6 till they bounce back. Will they be ok?

I started reading this thread and as I got about 5 posts down I realized that it was from 2011. I'm sitting here wondering how I got here reading this. Then I noticed the someone asking the question. Ive ALMOST done similar quite a few times, lmao.

I may just start going into ancient threads and resurrecting them to get people confused.
