So I recently moved from a MMJ state to a non MMJ state, and would rather grow then be persecuted for purchasing medicine so I have decided to try a CFL grow.
This is what I have and was wondering if I could get any input/advice to makes sure I am not digging my self into a hole!

This will be a Coco Coir grow

closet- 50"x25"x64"

bulbs-4x27W Compact Fluorescent Daylight Balanced 5500K,1x 42-Watt Compact Fluorescent High-Wattage Bulb,6x 23-Watt CFL Mini Twist Soft White, adapters w cords ect

Nutrients-Fox Farm Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tiger Bloom Liquid Fertilizer Nutrient Trio Hydro-Formula

misc- Mylar, Ph tester ph up ph down

If you could please give me some insight or fill me in with anything I am missing  I am worried about the lighting situation I've read a bunch of posts and went with what I thought was correct and also ordered from attitude seedbank BTW I have not started yet Thank you!

Thanks for the help

yes, I add some perlite to the fox farm. no vermiculite. if you do use vermiculite i've been told too much vermic can hold too much water and give u root rot. so go easy on it if you are going to try it

For cfl I recommend y splitter and large clamp hood as it will double the light. You will need a bit more air flow if you use the reflector. I measure double the light when I use the clamp hood reflector. I use 27 watt cfls in y splitter and large 10 inch clamp reflector. That way the bulbs are not protruding below the hood and wasting reflected light.

Any kind of reflector is better than none.

This is my first grow. I've read that you should start your seedlings in the soil they will mature in. In my case it's Roots Organic potting soil. Has anyone heard of PH problems with the Roots soil and would the nutes burn my babies up?

P8080722.jpgI use CFL"S and I was told by a reliable source that you need 3,00 leumens per sf and you have 8 sf so you need at least 24,00 leumens. I'd only do two plants to start and see how they go with such a small space.

I was thinking of just doing 2 today MAYBE 3.
my plan was to Mylar the whole closet and keep the CFL's 3-5 inches away from the foliage at all times and as they get bigger add more to the side ect, Ive never grown with cfl's this is an experiment really.. but either way I believe with the Mylar and these lights It should work out fine and I will be making adjustments as I see what my plant needs
and decided to do soil over COCO for this attempt
