I am overwhelmed ! A strange conundrum indeed !

This is a bit embaressing to admit, but I am overwhelmed by my own music collection !

I decided to build a playlist for my planned Friday evening Lucy trip with my lady, and I started looking through my music on my computer.

I have 27,683 CDs burned to WAV files on my computer .... and if each of those CDs average 13 songs on each, that is in the neighborhood of 359,879 songs to build a playlist from !

It has never seemed a problem until now .... but man do I feel overwhelmed !

I guess I could choose the entire Genre of New Age, or Electronica, etc ....

But I just never expected to feel this way ~!

I have the whole internet full of Music ... that is like 100 000 times more than YOU !!

I got shit that's not even made Yet !!

I say take a sheet of paper, draw off a squared grid on it, label each grid with a genre or artist you would like but cant quite decide..then hang it on the wall n throw some darts at it from a good distance away, don't see how you could go wrong

LOL .... why yes you do puffer ! But on MY system, MP3 files just sound like crap ! I'm afraid I need the WAV quality, thus internet music just does not work for me. But yes .... you win ! LOL

I know how you feel with being overwhelmed tho, im a movie fanatic myself, and have 3-400 disc DVD cases full, sometimes its taken me longer to decide on a movie to watch than the damn movie itself lol, good luck to ya bro and im sure whatever you choose, its going to be awesome when you trip

I have it all stored on 1.5 t pocket drives. Those are velcro'd to the back of my laptop screen, and go with me wherever I go

I have ALL of the hard copies, but I give them to my son who then burns them onto his own storage drives, and then passes them onto my daughter who does the same, then sells them to help fund her tuition to Medical school, which you guesed ..... Daddy pays for ! Oh my aching wallet ! LOL

Damn. What a collection. If you got a lot of them on vinyl and are wanting to sell them, I'm looking to buy lots of used records. With so many, I'd imagine you have quite a variety!

I'm serious though about buying some from you if you want. Or perhaps we can make some trades

Oh man Heir .... You have hit me in the one place it hurts bud ... I have a fully decked out Linn LP12 turntable .... All $16000 worth of it. So I am just too invested in vinyl to be able to help you with that particular format .. sigh.

If you ever get interested in a pocket drive with only WAV files or something, we could probably work something out though.

I have probably 20 or more people per month contact me about burning part or all of my collection on to storage devices for them ! Word gets out, and it speards like wildfire ! LOL

Funniest thing of all is, I don't even have a list of all of my music listed anywhere ! LOL I need to make a list up.

Damn again!! Haha. I'm usually not the type to get jealous, but I am jealous.

I'd be very interested in sending you an external HD and having you fill it up though. Would definitely make it worth your while!
