Oops, I meant 2 for 480 watt of quantum board in the space. They have adjusters so I would run them turned down a little. Good light spread and penetration with less heat output from the lights.

They used the same meanwell drivers, Samsung chips, slate heatsinks, wago connectors, etc. I don't care where it's made. What specifically makes the HLG one better?

Kingbrite says "top bin" also. They don't like to specify what bin. Some kingbrite listings said SK. In my opinion for the price point and construction it doesn't make sense. I'll gladly take SJ bin on kingbrite vs SL bin on hlg for the price difference if that turned out to be the case.

weak lights? man has over 1000 true watts in that mess.
If my post are "entertaining" then you may want to follow me around the boards for awhile , you WILL learn something....

Before i even get into bashing leds ....im going to send a HUGE thank you to the ones testing them expensive ass lights.... the future will love you! you guys are awsome! I'll keep teaching folks how to grow and you guys keep them numbers coming on the lights ....eventually we shall meet in the middle for the best experience possible !!! (i have no problem with leds ....its just the folks who grow shitweed then claim its better because the light was better. ) We can agree on one thing....the light was better then the grower.

I've seen amazing grows with every type of light out there, cfls, leds etc. But I have never seen anybody who grew shit weed claim it was better because of LEDs. Would be pretty easy to point you to dozens of growers on this site who have impressive looking grows with LEDs. But I don't know many growers in real life, like 5. Maybe it's a thing. I only know growers on forums where it is not a thing.

yep, weak lights apart from the lamp. Not sure were u saw the "true watts", I don't see it. I see some cheap mars or viper spectre that claim 240w but then they are also running fans from that....so that's not light watts and if they have to run fans for such small wattage units (HLG QB Don't) then the efficiency must be crap.
So yep for that size tent weak lights.

Quality LED are not that expensive, about the same as CMH.
Doesn't matter if ur running CFL or LED its all about the lumens, K ratings, environment and grower talent. The plant doesn't know what light source it has.

Get speed adjustment for fan and filter and when tent open crank the fan 100%? That’s what I’ve done in the past.

My quality was never better than from LED, as was my yields.

I'm never going back to streetlights.

My sun is killing it right now.
My LEDs grow great and make me blind at the same time, double bonus.

It is outdated tech, isn't it? Imagine how much money cities spend if each street light cost 50$ a month to run.

They would save money. Wonder what lamps they use? I have never seen anyone change the lamp in front of my house for years. It is always fuxing up my flower landscaping. Amazing what run off water does for landscaping.

They use HPS, around 50$ each to run. Indoor growing started with a lot of people buying up old street lights from auction and bringing them inside. It developed into a market.

so ur saying 600w (im guessing the 660 W he mentioned is a typo but either way not a huge difference for the area) of HPS is enough for a 1.2 x 2.4m area? Well yes, that will work, not ideal of cause, even in a 1.2 x 1.2 its not a perfect fit, but its not going to be a quick flower. Im not saying he hasn't got enough light, Im saying he has got weak lights that will take longer to flower.

My city has already switched half its streetlights to LED.

The LED brand is kingbo (the dual optical lens not the cheap cheap ones) they have two tiny pc fans inside of them which I would say use 10 watts maximum, they honestly do not create heat like you guys think

I was going to be full LED but I needed to raise the temperatures and I already had my digital ballast so I only had to buy the reflector as my old one had a wiring issue where if you plugged it in it would turn off the fuse for the room in the fuse box


It is hard to tell which is better

HPS produce heat which would be an unnecessary amount if two or three were in there it would expose you to flir cameras and is also where they waste wattage and make you think your plants are getting more lumens than they actually are

My plants in the middle directly under the HPS have less bud on them (though the hps is higher up from the canopy than the LEDs, it's so hard to fit this shit on your own attaching the ducting filter etc took so long on my own I do not want to deattach while this far into flower as if I cant fix it I'm fucked and will have to call in help and risk them telling our other friends I'm growing) so it could be because of that



Tomorrow is the end of 12/12 week 7 the as you can see the main colas have really packed on some size
A couple of plants hairs have turned orange but I've checked the trichomes and they're all at the same stage I'd say now about 50/50 clear/cloudy no Amber's yet and no significant swelling

I have read that jack herer is at its absolute best when 50/50 cloudy amber I am going to do some more reading and check out other people's herer grows

(I know they look a little overheated some dumbass forgot to open the window last night)

I plan to start the odd feed including canna flush soon to prep for the main flush
