I broke the stem at the top of the plant...F**K!!!

I'm absolutely gutted. 2 weeks into flowering and I needed to tie one of my plants down due to height restrictions in my grow room. Unfortunately I bent it just to much causing the stem to break about 4 nodes down from the main head. It was all looking so sweet too.....

The stem was not completely severed but snapped about half way through. I have temporarily wrapped plastic cling film around the stem and it is holding itself up as the stem is bent over slightly supporting the break.

Is there a chance that it will heal over the break and continue growing or should I lop it off and try repotting it.

Cheers

I've heard of people taping it when it hasn't broke all the way through but I personally haven't tried it

Leave it alone it will heal itself. Most important don't "F" with it. You just did a late term super-crop. I think you are about to learn how resilient cannabis really is. I don't understand why you would re-pot the plant, you didn't screw up the grow medium, no you simply snapped the stalk. Frequently squeeze branches and stalks all over the plant to create strong stems and branches aplenty. Strong frames make strong support for fruits. Just my $.02.

Leave it alone with the chemicals the plant will take care of the damage, You could tape a split soda straw to the stem or make a couple of splints for the wound.

Cheers for the reply. Does super cropping entail actually breaking the stem?
I wasn't meaning to re-pot the whole plant, I was thinking more along the lines of replanting the stem that broke.

I got ya now NY, you wanted to clone the broken piece. I don't think this will be necessary as long as you have roughly 50% or so attachment of the branch. Super cropping entails squishing the stalk and then bending it over, yes a break but the fibrous connection is still intact.. The squishing or (squeezing) lessens the snap when you bend the branch. Some people think that a good bend is super cropping when in fact the next day the plant will be in the same position as it was the day before. I personally think all the branches should go through a "ROUGH" bending during vegetative state. You will be blown away by how sturdy and healthy looking your plant will become. If you kill your plants in the process you were too rough....just kidding......LOL. Seriously I think you will be happy with the outcome of the periodic bending.

Peace brother.

Super cropping is when you bend the stem over and the inside of the bend folds, sometimes ya gotta pinch it before you bend it so it dont snap.
Will it live? you will know in a couple days.
