hello everyone, i posted this in the newbie forum a few days ago but figured i might get more help in this section. the responses i got in the other post was pretty much my soil was too moist and i was watering too much. i eased up on the watering and i didnt water between the 18th and the 23rd. and on the 23rd i watered just enough to wet the top few inches of soil (didnt wanna overwater). well today (and the last couple days) my leaves seem to be getting worse. the other day (last week) they were curling down a little bit but now the leaves look really lumpy and they are curling a lot more. im kind of freaking out. they seem to be growing really sluggish. is this some kind of deficiency? if so, how can there be a deficiency in brand new soil? (im trying out three kinds, mg, supersoil, and blackmagic, all exhibiting same problem) what should i do????? could this be a ph problem? i have never checked my taps ph or the soils ph.

setup: 600w hps (30''+ from plants)-i have a 1000 watt waiting to be hooked up. just havn't thrown it up. wanna get this figured out before i blast them with light.

well MG has a high N rating and if your using subs super soil then that i am pretty sure is rich in all nutes.
fist thing i wold do is learn the ph and get a meter

I've had plants look like that when my LED lights are too close so it could be that the plants are getting too much light. What's the temperature? I know you said you had a 600W HPS which is 30" from the plants, and that seems like it should probably be enough distance. However, you might try raising the lights a couple of inches and see if that helps at all.

the temp fluctuates between 66*F (night) and 78*F(day), the light was actually a few inches closure (maybe 24-26 inches from plants) a couple days ago. i moved it up to 30'' when someone mentioned that could be the issue in another post. i have a question, when it happened with your LED's, did the leaves that were damaged, did they get better? or did they stay messed up and new growth came in better/healthier? thanks
