Such great advice - wish I'd found you guys sooner...lol. I am gonna get CFL's tomorrow. I will probably use the LED, too, in the area, but primarily I will use the Fluorescent's and the CFL's. I feel terrible. I hate for anything to die. FLAMING PIE - I bought a two-panel light, but yes, it is the multi-colored light.

I dunno, I like to weed out the weak and go with the best. That's why I prob. wouldn't even mess with the tall lanky ones and focus on the two that look like they might make something. and a fan would also help dry things out a bit, allowing for more frequent waterings.

air mvmt. is never bad.

Flaming Pie - would you be willing for me to email you, or call you - or you could call me - so we could actually talk? I have a small list of things to ask...but I think I'm stepping on everyone in here as they try to answer me...lol. I would be happy to speak to anyone who is successful at growing indoors. I know I cannot afford the MH light or the other - so, I'm kind of limited to CFL's...Thanks...Pam

We can turn the fan off - no big deal. We're doing OK at controlling the temp and humidity. I was trying to follow the guy who wrote TLO method, but couldn't find half of the products he uses...but the soil I'm using is one that he recommended.

The only reason they look weak is because they are light deprived. Get taller pots, gently move your seedlings into the pot with their first set of leaves about 2 inches from top.

DO NOT PLUCK!

Remove all the soil by over turning pot with one hand on top and one on bottom. The soil will drop into hand after a few squeezes of pot. Gently dust soil away from delicate roots. Don't over do, just enough removed to not pull at roots when you lift seedling.

Hold seedling up right by base of stem and lightly push soil into hole around root. Water. Add soil if necessary.

Just to let you know, CFLS are gonna be a bitch to do with 6 plants. Especially after you flip to 12/12.

It will cost you as much as a 400w HPS to do a set up with cfls for all those plants.

You are gonna end up needing 12 bulbs now and 48-60 bulbs later. That is about 75 dollars. Then another 12 bucks in hookups for CFLS per plant. That is another 60 dollars.

With CFLs you have to check the plant every day before lights on during 12/12. And I mean EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Cfls are a great starter for one plant. Multiples not so much.

holy smokes! that much eh? I guess I never knew how many cfl's you were using. I've only seen your plants which were probably the nicest I've seen for cfl.

CFLs definitely has grown me some tasty and potent weed, but even I will move on to HPS soon because I would like to grow more than one plant at a time.

As far as t5 goes, my 50/50 sat/indica plant keeps deciding to grow into the bulbs and I am about to throw the darn thing in the street.

But KAL, for now 1-2 CFLs per plant will hold ya for a week or two.

Well my light setup costs around 40 bucks because I use 4 6500k bulbs and those are more expensive.

ahhh, I see. those are the ones in the center? I can see the bluish tint to them.

I must give you kudos pie. 3-4 zips/plant under cfl is stellar.

you've got a green thumb lil' lady ;)

Did you order your new light yet?

Waiting on funds. Plus this weekend I am looking into becoming a caregiver for a friend with disc problems.

I REEEEALLY want to. But hubby says I must wait.

3.71 ounces dried and cured two weeks last plant.

Hi OP, really sorry to here about your health probs and hope the research floating around is true. I did a bit of research into it a few months ago for a friend, what strains are you growing? If my memory serves me right it is the CBD that has the beneficial effects and there are only a few strains that have decent CBD production. With all due respect, time is not your friend and as such don't bother pissing about with LED's or CFL's , you need good results and quick, your not gonna get that with your choice of lighting. Nothing compares to natural sunlight but second best is HPS for speed of growth and volume of finished product. I know there are implications with heat etc and getting caught but fuck getting caught, with your condition you ain't doing bird and if you don't get a move on, you won't be doing anything. You need speed, volume and quality.

So with all due respect folks stop pissing about and help give this guy what he needs and not waste what valuable time he has.

OP..... My advise is a purpose built 1.2 x 1.2 F&D table with a 1000w HPS over the top. Plenty of info on here, easy to manage and you don't need a degree in hydroponics to get good results.

I wish you all the best and don't forget to find the best strain for CBD production, without that it ain't worth shit.

Well, I only have 3 plants now, unfortunately. I didn't realize that I would need so many lights - and you have them really close to the leaves...I guess in the morning I'll be doing some rearranging. As for the barn, I don't have a room in my house that is conducive...this is already away from my house (in case of odor later), and I had plenty of lights, and could control the ventilation, humidity, and temperature a little better. Also, it's totally light-free when it needs to be. I have too many clients that come to the house -

So, right now I have the fluorescent lights on in the room - as well as the LED light (haven't taken it down yet), and the CFL's - all are 'daylight' bulbs in the CFL. Tomorrow I will take the LED down, or move it off to the side, and hang more fluorescents.

I just emailed you, by the way...

Pam
