I don't get my brother

OK so my brother is almost 30,lives at home,& thinks he's better than everybody else. He makes barely enough to do anything with and makes comments about bills he does not pay. It's a frequent in my house for me or my mom to tell him he doesn't pay shit because he doesn't have anything. Hence why he doesn't pay rent he has nothing. If you ask for a favor he'll get an attitude or will say yes but during the favor will bitch about it. He talks to none because he says "He don't like people" I think it's the other way around because if you ask him why he doesn't like people he doesn't have an answer except for "I just don't". Well people at his work talk to him and have occasionally come over once or twice literally. He doesn't do drugs and uses my pot smoking against me to the point he just looks stupid. He thinks we live in the ghetto when we live in the suburban mid west. He says it's a ghetto because his car has been broken into to. He doesn't get that literally happens in every neighborhood. He thinks he's the smartest person in the world because he was in advanced elementary school. He always tries to get violent and doesn't get people don't fight him because he's just not worth it. He has no musical/artistic values. All he listens to is metal or emo. WHICH is OK except he chastises other peoples music/artistic preference. He'll exaggerate or dramatize everything little thing that happens to him. He doesn't get that people with alzheimers don't know what's going on yet he'll run his mouth or say "I'm gonna kick there ass" Which he never does. Seriously what's his problem? I've asked him a couple times and we just fight because that's what he immediately wants to do. Seriously it's pissing me off.
EDIT: He also gets mad about anything I do that's better than what he has done or is doing. Such as the military he says "What are you still doing here I thought you signed up" Me "Not yet I'm just thinking about it" Hime "Well you'd be better off just doing it now.

kind of sounds like my bro. 30, living with mom and stepdad, dont have 2 nickels to rub together, etc, etc. i thinks its gatta be the moms. its partly their faults too, but the moms gatta cut them loose sometime.

i dunno, my sister is only 2 or 3 years younger then him and turned out fine. and yea could be mental. he had to talk to a psychiatrist or psychologist, one of them, when he was younger. my bro does do drugs tho and can be quite hilarious when on them. he overdoes it sometimes. ive seen him pop 4-5 bricks and drink with it and amazingly not pass out.

the trik is jus ta kick him out on his ass with all his stuff
he'll get a job or social welfare of sum sort......get a flat.....and eventually get a life! :D
