I don't know how to use my timer...

Lol, I feel so dumb. I lost the instructions that came with my timer. I understand I have to turn the dial to the desired time, but I'm not sure if the pegs are supposed to be up for on, or down for on? :wall:

It looks just like this:

I guess it doesn't REALLY matter in the end, because its 12/12 anyway, but I'd prefer the lights be on during the day time, so if theres any light-leaks it won't matter.

Find the brand name. Go to the company website and see if they have a download of the instruction manual. Most companies do supply them online. Good luck. :)

Oh shit! I just noticed something.. that has a three pronged jack. Can you share the brand name and what store you bought it? I have been looking everywhere for a timer with a three pronged electrical jack. Puleeeez? :: puppy dog eyes ::

Plug it in, use any electric device (preferably a light bulb)
and see if when the "pegs" are inside or outside the lights are on or off.

If you can grow plants you can figure out how that works.

Dollar General. Ran me a whole $7 haha. No brand name mentioned :/

@DB - now I feel even dumber. Thanks dude lol. I figured they all just worked the same and someone could let me know >_<; my bad.

push those black pins down. When they are "down" that is "on" and when they are up they are "off". FYI i'm pretty sure those timers are to the 15 minute too, so if its set for 7am it can be up to 715 to turn on.
Keep an eye on it, and walmart sells digital timers for 10-15 bucks!

Good luck
