Imo HID is a good light to use but I choose CFL's or even flo's for all newbies. It's just an easier lighting system to learn with.

No. Your two foot grow lights are flourescent shop bulbs which will work. However depending on the wattage of your CFL's, they will more than likely put out more lumens per square foot than your grow lights.

just wondering how many weeks the plants have to grow before i can find out witch are males and witch are females. so i can start to clone them.

and how many weeks is it normally after the plants can be cloned that they staring to flower, produce buds.

watts of my lights are
2 20watt 2 foot grow lights.
and one 100 watt clf bulb, and one 75 watt clf bulb.

You will have to put your plants under 12/12 lighting before you will be able to sort out your females from the males. How many total lumens are your lights putting out?
