I feel bad ... when It rains it pours

Police. Are. Not. Your. Friends.

Police are people and present the full personality spectrum, from really nice to "need killing". There is going to be leakage of personal issues into professional demeanor. What I am wondering about the whole story is ... why the cop disliked this politician. It could be something totally unfair like the cop had a budgetary axe to grind, or something relating to the personal relationship between the two. In a town as small as Ryan describes, they were bound to be familiar with each other. It seems like a hugely disproportionate dick move for the cop to engage in deliberate, premeditated career destruction ... because that is what he did. Ryan's testimony that the guy was a good boss adds to my confusion ... decent pols don't exactly grow on trees, though they're out there. I really do wonder what the cop's issue behind the issue is. cn
