I thought it was pretty good, but guy d.s.m wasn't lying. It does look like someone playing a video game in a way. A lot of special effects and cgi.

I watched the movie many times. Really loved it. IMO, it is one of the best movies ever. The plot is not so great but the graphics are excellent.

First time I saw it I had some mushrooms, and I wanted to do something on mushrooms. I had heard of 'Avatar' but I didn't know what it was about or anything... I ate a half gram of some strong aborts before I left the house, then another .7 or so in the movie theater. It was kind of difficult eating the shrooms in a fully packed theatre whilst coming up... Movie was great though, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I felt like I lived among the people. The flying scenes were breath taking, and the night time glow scenes tripped me the FUCK out. I scuba dive and stuff, and a lot of the things in that movie (like the floatie things and polyps) were ocean-inspired so that was really neat.

It's a great movie for hallucinogens, but other than that it's OK. Just some really really awesome cinematic eye candy.

Certainly it was entertaining, but the story sucked major balls and what is a film without a good story?

I rather enjoy the idea of a film having good graphics, bring back the days of point the camera and press record, CGI has just gone way overboard.

haha no shit, so do I and I was thinking the exact same thing. but yeah that movie was pretty awesome. not really an original story line but looks amazing. Saw it in 3d like twice and more afterwards but looks.. seriously.. realistic on bluray on the right tv. id say go see it if you havent. long as hell though, but thats how james cameran's movies are

I thought it was -ok-. Too much "touchy-feely" shit and turning against your own kind, as a former marine, he deserved to be shot for treason.
