well i bought seeds and i started taking notes down in the internet on how to grow outside. the one thing i missed was germinating so all i did was put the seed in the soil and get some water. its been a day or two but im worried that the seed might not grow because i didnt germinate them first, what should i do???

Its okay to just put the seed in the soil without germinating.. Some actually say its better. Dont worry

when you put them in dirt and wet them down you began the germination process. don't let the soil dry out and your plants will be growing before you know it.

What soil did you use? I did one with Foxfarm Ocean Forest and it cracked soil in less than 2 days, just dropped it in, added water with the correct ph level and there she was a few days later. I had much more trouble using the towel method than using mother nature's method...lol

Yeah just keep soil damp and don't use any ferts until codyledone leaves fall off. The cods are a prepackaged nutrient source for your baby plant and it will only need water until those are gone.

using mg soil a plant can go weeks before adding ferts. word of the day is cotyledon.

I like to germ the seeds first so I can get some root and stem growth prior to putting them in soil so I don't have to wait and wonder if that seed is going to pop. But I have a hunch that with a good soil mixture and the right amount of water a seed germed in soil may be more successful at popping than a seed in folded paper towel.

Definitely no ferts on seeds. I like to wait until there is a few inches of plant before I add fertz. Then I start them out at a low ppm even ration NPK.
