I fucking hate microsoft

I too installed Avast last year on my work's computers, after having them run AVG for years. So far so good.

Well we don't really have a choice. The industry uses windows and windows compatible programs. The data logging software we use requires windows. They build it for windows because it's available to everyone. Everyone uses microsoft office files too. I'm sure you could use something other than windows for the non data logging computers, and use another program to open word, excel, and access files, or simulate windows and office, but honestly I don't think it is worth the trouble. We have 9 computers in the office hooked up, and probably 12 portable laptops. The system is already in place too.

I know a lot about computers and dealing with them, but that's because I have used them my whole life. My knowledge comes not from a classroom, but 20 years of experience working with computers. Our systems do everything we need them too, including get viruses on occasion.

I usually don't even run av software. I just make sure I backup important files. I have had catastrophic computer failures. Sometimes shit just gets past av software. And sometimes hard drives just straight up die. I have had several die on me, so I always have back ups of important stuff. I find it easier to reformat and reinstall everything every 2 years or so than it is to try to deal with antivirus bullshit. So much of it is utter nonsense. Especially norton. I would rather get infected occasionally than deal with bloatware like norton on a regular basis.

Avast and ESET are both windows programs, aval in X86 and X64. 2 of the absolute best out there.

Who doesn't hate MicroSoft. They are a plague on the business world.
