and another question is can i still grow a male plant or will there be no point.

not really, the fixture is ok though but you'd want a 6500 K Cfl in it instead, and plenty of lights to grow even an ounce.
Males have 1/3 the thc level of females so they can be smoked if yer desperate.

It would be cheaper to just buy a few cfls and put them around the plant. Do you already have a male plant going and thats why you're asking? You typically want to grow a female plant for the best buds.

and no point in growing a male unless u got a female u want to pollenate
