i got a question for anyone who has done a 12/12 from seed

hey everyone.. for my next plants i wanted to try a 12/12 from seed maybe go a week under a 24hr then switch to 12/12. my question to this is how long does a 12/12 from seed cycle usually take? i will be using a 400HPS in a room about 3feet by 3feet by 4feet high if that helps answer the question? thank you

it mostly depends on the strain. but even with 12/12/ from seed the plants wont start flowering as soon as you switch to 12/12 they usually take 3-4 weeks from germination to be mature enough to flower so even with an 8-9 week strain your lookin at approx 3 months. it doesnt work the same as with clones how you can put a rooted cutting in flower and it strecthes and starts flowering the next week.

Because it still takes it so long to get into flowering you might as well just put them on for 18/6 for 3 or 4 weeks then switch it up.

Yea, im growing with cfls in a small space so to much veg get me in trouble down the road due to space concerns. So if your in a situation like me i wait a good 3 or 4 weeks like i said cause anything under that your just robbing the plant of more hours of light that it could be enjoying due to the fact the light cycle cant force the plant into flowering that quickly.

im going 12/12 from seed under 4 cfls and it took about 5 weeks before the first white hairs showed up . that being said, come check it out when u get a chance

i got a question. how do you intend to keep your small area cool with a 400hps?

I know that question wasnt directed toward me but I have 2x5x4 cab with a 400w HPS with just an exhaust fan that I ripped out of an air purifier and my temp stays around 86 degrees 2/3 of the up my cab.
