I had to harvest early

My landlords decided to put our place up for sale, and with the constant traffic from people coming through the house, I decided its best to just rid myself of them. I harvested 3 plants that were 6 1/2 weeks into flowering. I know its really early, but kind of out of my control. Think they'll be worth smoking?

Even immature buds are worth smoking. So YES, don't waste them.

They're always worth smoking, even before day 1 of flowering.

You shorted yourself weight and it'll be more of a cerebral high, good for everyday use even if you have stuff to do as opposed to couch lock.

Somewhat light sativa like, even if it isn't a Sativa.

If you want to know what it will be like you can just put a small bud, bowl sized, inside a CFL while it's on to dry out for 1/2 an hour. (or on a ballast or other similar heat source, not in the microwave)

It will smoke with the same potency as you can expect cured, the only difference will be that it won't taste as good as cured bud.

Smoke it and you tell us if we're all right, that it's worth smoking.

i already hung them up earlier today. yes.
put a bud on top of a hot water rad to dry ... smoked it about 10 minutes ago.
Nice high for sure, I'm happy. Not stoned, but a nice body high.... feels good.

Should I trim the fan leaves now??

they're always worth smoking, even before day 1 of flowering - WTF!!! I would never smoke marijuana leaves before flower. no THC = no high period.

I didn't suggest people start skipping flowering but you are misinformed about there not being THC in a pre-flower plant. You can smoke the leaves or you can harvest the trichomes from the leaves and get hash but it would be pretty silly to do neither unless you have something else to smoke.

There is certainly THC in the trichomes on the leaves even if you don't see trichomes at all.

right - we're in agreement. I just can't imagine anyone smoking leaves and getting high at all. I think everyone agrees on this point. otherwise, we're cool.

ehhhhh...youd be hard pressed to get anything real from a vegged only plant...might as well go buy a pack of bugle and roll yourself a cigarette if youre that desperate...or go get some salvia

Wrong again. You can actually get HIGH off leaves after two weeks of veg, you will not get high off bugles and salvia is not a "high".

If it takes you one puf on bud to get high three fan leaves or so will do the same, they'll taste like crap if they're ugly dried out old leaves but you can even make fresh leaves taste good enough to roll blunts with if you cure them as if they were actual bud. That's not going to do much for when our tolerance is really high but even a hardcore stoner with a week off is going to notice a true high coming on after less than 10 leaves.


I know more than you guys, I have done all this stuff for many years and it sounds as though neither of you have ever even tried it. ( No I don't mean I just smoked fan leaves all these years, but a true stoner has gotta do what he's gotta do when it's slim pickings.)

don't pull the whole argument from authority to justify your claims. you have no clue how long we've been growing or how much we know. I could be 18 or 80 - you have no clue. personally, back when I was young and dumb, I did smoke leaves - and nothing happened!!! Since then, I've never been desperate enough to smoke leaves - that's silly. It's common sense - on a weed plant, the buds and leaves with the trichs get you high. leaves don't. there was a kid the other day talking about smoking stems and getting high. what's next, the roots? Geez people...

Next time you grow, put your leaves in a bag and try to sell them. see what happens...

Unless you can see trichomes on them, leaves aren't gonna get you high.

uh huh, okay. I took a stance which I knew wouldn't be popular or likely believed and you two continued to write me off as another one of these kids that doesn't know what they hell they are talking about even though I made myself clearer and clearer and left nothing to misinterpretation.

I made my case pretty clear I think and still you're rolling your eyes as if you know more, which you simply don't or you wouldn't be taking the stance you are.

My 20 years growing experience probably trumps both of yours combined, that's not about getting panties in a bunch or whatever that's just fact. When a debate is sparked up I'll get on that just as quick as a bowl when I know I'm right.
Just a guess, but probably a safe bet you don't have 10 years between you or you would have at least heard of people making hash from fan leaves. It's not rare, it's not unusual, it's not unbeliievable, it's not even really out of the ordinary.

Trichomes exist on the leaves past the 2 week point if you see them or believe in them or not. Sort of like spider mites, you'd need to bust out the magnifying glass and look. They exist mainly on the underside of the leaves and are there to protect the veigns of the leaves from predators, look right along the veigns. The trich's you tend to really see form on top of leaves later in flower is not what I'm talking about, you don't even need those to be there to still have enough trichomes on the underside of the leaves.

I make hash oil from leaves....EVEN MALES. Yes there is THC you just have to know how to get it. As for smoking the leaves.......no thanks. Not very tasty. The hash oil has no taste and will FUCK you up!!!!!
