I hate being new to this...dead or not?

Started with 6, 3 cracked and grew, now it looks like they are dying. Opinions?Plants003.jpgPlants002.jpgPlants001.jpg

Like i said i'm pretty new to this. They are in a closet underneath the steps in the basement while i build a grow box for them. MG is the soil, i haven't added anything to it except water. I am using florescent lighting 4' tubes and there is a heat lamp in the closet just because it is in the basement and it gets pretty cold down there. I haven't seen the temp over 85 or under 75. Are the worth trying to save or should I start over once I have their new permanent home put together? They were planted after being germed 15 days ago.

Well they look pretty sickly, you might just want to restart. They are clearly stretching, get the light closer and more of it. Also, the mg soil can be too strong at this age, start them in plain soil as they do not need nutes this early, and transplant to mg later.

While they do look like shit right now,, I think they can be saved with a bit of loving care. As soon as they are erady for a transplant I would get em into some better soil, plant em right up to the first set of leaves burying the lanky stalk and I think you will see them take right off shortly thereafter. good luck! j

they'll be ok, just bury them up to the first set of leaves like the other guy said. mg soil is too strong for them like the other guy said.
finally some input of my own: don't give up on them unless they die, by time you get a proper set up they will be a lot bigger than if you re planted new seeds, so you will be more likely to pull more weight from your harvest

I've seen a whole lot worst on this forum. Some guy accidentally cut the first leafs of the seedling and after a few weeks it got back growing perfectly fine. may have turned male after the stress but still...they are strong little ladies and they fight for survival.

thanks guys, i lowered the light...added just a bit more soil...and a few hours later the ones that were laying down were starting to straighten up. getting a different kind of soil today for the future. I don't think that i'm going to change what they are already growing roots into now but i won't be using any MG soil anymore!

So the one that was in the big pot has gone to the big field up in the sky...and the one that i thought was the weakest has made an astounding recovery! New grow box almost done...just need to wrap it in some reflective material and cover it all in the corner of the basement (there is a ton of light!!) I'm excited to get some plants in there to see if my design is as successful as i want it to be! pics to come!!
