I hate caterpillars

All my other plants got completely destroyed by caterpillars except this one (Mendo Afgoo x Sour Diesel)... I grew pure Sour Diesel last year and the same thing happened the caterpillars barely touched the Diesel while my Chernobyl got munched on

Yep, they seem to have a finicky palate :cuss: I'm growing 6 strains and 2 of them got hit real hard :fire: As in more than a few z's lost :-x 3 strains (7 plants) got hit some, from loss of some of the cola to a few popcorn buds lost. And 1 strain (2 plants), other than a bit of leaf damage, didn't get hit. No bud damage at all! :weed: As posted, a pound of prevention....er,....a bit of BT or Spinosad whilst vegging and in early bloom will minimize this next year. Then we can all hate on something else :eyesmoke: Spider mites was a good suggestion  Or how 'bout fukin PM :spew: we all hate that shit....lol

At least ya got 1 plant to finish :-P

Pellets? They roll right off the leaves :blsmoke: I don't believe those will work as well as spraying the leaves (once a week). I mean the worms need to ingest plant material that has bacterium on it. BT sprayed on the leaves is working fine for me now, albeit 3 weeks too late  Personally, I'm going to alternate these sprays starting about week 4-5 of veg next year.

This was my first grow outdoors and I didn't even know what a budworm was until I started seeing them. Did lots of research, had some Monterey with spinosad that I was using for thrips so I sprayed that. In the meantime I ordered some Safer Cata. Killer B.T. Sprayed that when I recovered it and so far worms have been kept to a minimum. I had one plant that was finishing much faster than the others and that's the plant the worms mostly attacked, so I did do some worm picking at first. After spraying a few times now I don't do much worm picking any more. Ill glance at my plants daily and if I see any signs of damage ill cut it out and look for the worm, it's usually dead and gone. Just finished trimming half that plant and found very little damage and zero worms. Ill be much more prepared next year.
