You aren't really making sense man, a flood light is used for outdoor security use
A grow light is used for growing plants
Now what is the kelvin rating of the bulb you are using?
Is it metal halide or high pressure sodium? https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq
Most floodlights i'm familiar with have those tiny bulbs. These types of lights put off to much direct heat Im pretty sure they are not very efficient for growing.
Compact fluorescent bulbs are very inexpensive and don't put off that much heat. If you just starting out i would suggest using those.
lol i had i 150w hps flood light i thought about useing for a while.. then i knocked if off a buddies bumper whell putting the valve cover back on his car .. and the hps blew up ... that was the end of that though
You have to find the bulbs with low kelvin ratings 5000 or lower for flowering. I use a compact flourescent flood light I bought from Home Depot for cloning, it is 100w 6500k so it wouldnt work to good for flowering. Look for "warm" bulbs or better yet use HPS.
