Ok so i seen this article :wall:
https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=42

in the grow FAQ

it mentions some thing about a timer quoted below

"One - cheap pull up tripper type timer about @ $5.00, please dont try aero cloning without the timer, it is critical imho for fast rooting"

well the point is i am thinking about building this and trying it out.

My two questions are
1. has any one here tried it does it work well?

2. it mentions using a timer but it doesn't say instructions for how long the timer needs to be on???

i searched the faq and could not find any thing. i just really wanna try this out cause i think would work well with cloning my particular breed but all i wanna know is how long the thing is supposed to run?
thanks

"AF has great luck using the cheap heater. However, please note that the small heater has no thermostatic control, depending on your room temperature, it may need to be connected to a timer and monitored to be certain that you dont overheat the water. So, if you can find a fully submersible thermostatic controlled heater that will fit in the tub without getting in the way of the air bubbles, I highly recommend doing so."

The timers for timing how long to turn on the heater. For what its worth, I think it would be cheaper to buy a submersible thermostat heater and do away with the timer.

I remember hearing that leaving the sprayers on for 2 mins every 20 mins (2 on 18 off) give the best nute-o2 for 'em. Too much water can cause stem rot, though I've never personally used aero so I don't know if stem rot even applies...

edit: although now that I actually clicked the link to see what you're referring to, I see that that's actually a bubble cloner, so my only guess for a timer would be like demonic said above, for the heater. Silly me. The air pump should be on 24/7 though.
