Just adding to what Kine Sensi said about why MJ requires more attention than your average weed.
It's greatly because over the years, MJ has been babied and interbred for potency, flavor, color and etc. rather than its ability to survive, as it would in nature.
By crossing strains in grow labs and basements, we growers have eliminated a major factor in natural selection.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of strains still have the original durable MJ traits, but strains that are crosses between many different man-made strains are domesticated and require more attention.
I think the key word is
