I have hated animals my entire life. Until last night.

i wouldnt get a specifc breed when it comes to cats. for the most part those breeds are very finicky and require a lot of grooming and shit. just go to a kill shelter and adopt and short haired kitten that is about to be put down.
I agree. go the local shelters and take a look around at who needs saving...sometimes the best pets are the ones that choose you

Cats are awesome. I would get a tiger tabby. Or a Siamese. Siamese are quite vocal, so if you don't want a cat that meows at you all the time, don't get a Siamese. But they are VERY different from most cats, they have a great attitude and are VERY loving, more so than most cats.

Tiger tabbies are awesome too, very friendly, good looking and usually easy to train..

I just adopted a 2 year old 150 pound English mastiff.
Great dog!

Any pet can become a pain in the ass though,
I like lazy dogs.

just get a street cat from the pound, it will outlive any pedigree cat and cost you a fraction of the vet bills.
