i have to find it in my program files and insert the crack. i just am having trouble locating it. thank you everyone for your help and patience. i have 3 or 4 programs that i can't get to work because of this stuff. i should call the geek squad.

yes. i assume. i burn CD's all the time.

Where did you read about inserting the crack? maybe go back there and re-read it?

i'm trying this again. i have "interWin DVD creator" already on my computer. i tried to burn it last night and it got to the part where it formats then it just locked up. i'm trying again. it takes about 20 mins for the video to load.

it goes thru the "making movie" part. the box gets checked green.
then the format bar fills up and it just stops there.

ok, here's what you need to do: use WINRAR to extract the files. you can specify any directory you want, because that is just where it's going to extract. you can move the files later.

as for the crack, those you need after the main installation of the software. after you have installed, when you next open the program, it should require you to enter a serial number of some sort. this is where you would input the "cracK."

it has been my experience that no computers come with preloaded software for burning dvd's due to copyright concerns. i personally have roxio easy media creator 8. the whole suite, not just the barebones deal. you can get that at any decent torrent site with a working crack. then, you just have to make sure that you specify the correct type of media in your drive, otherwise you will have formatting issues.

Well I've just taken my morning meds and this sounds like a reasonable alternative.

Do you know any computer nerds in your area that you could oh, I don't know... say dangle some type of 'carrot' in front of them to get them to get you going? I know if I was your neighbor I would be more than willing to be your personal tech support specialist!

i'm running it thru "Win DVD creator". it's made it thru "making movie" the green box is checked. it is now halfway thru "format". it is - type of file: video clip, avi.

well if win dvd creator burns .avi then u are all set

it's stuck on format again.

FDD yu may have to stop using your puter while it is attempting to change the format of the video, as it is processor intensive.

I like Nero, it seems the easiest and doesn't seem to tax out my system as much.

Just extract the .RAR file to any empty folder of your choice.

Start up Nero and choose to burn a DVD and point it to those extracted files.

It should automatically convert/format them to a AVI or MPEG file depending on what they are..

Then burn to disk - multiple copies if needed..

I have been wanting to burn it for my friends to watch too - maybe I'll go do that.

it says "DVD multi recorder" right on the side of my cd tray.

DVD Multi recorder is it, should burn DVD no problem, just sounds like a software problem.

Nero is free, you will just have to download and install it.
