Ok these plants are like 2.5 weeks old for some reason the first week they got real bad root rot almost died i managed to get some nutralife h202 and some sm90 and also aqua shield and i've managed to bring them back. Once again they've stopped growing leaves are turning yellow and the roots are looking iffy again the temp is 77% i'm using gh floranova nutes & voodo juice changing the water once a week ppm about 550, 600 w lights about 18inches away this is a hydro set up the res isn't hot so i'm really confused if i could get any type of advice before i decided to give up and trash these plants! also this is my 3rd grow im doing everything exactly the same as my last grows same set up and for some reason getting really bad results this time im growing 1 wwxak47 plant 2 wwxnl plants one pineapple chunk and 1 nl plant Photo0517.jpgPhoto0516.jpgPhoto0515.jpgPhoto0514.jpgPhoto0512.jpgPhoto0511.jpgPhoto0510.jpgPhoto0509.jpg dont ask me why the pics are sideways no matter how i rotate they come in like this sorrry

Looks like not enough H2O2, not enough aeration of the water, and res temps too high...droopy leaves = root suffocation = not enough oxygen, brown roots = root rot = bacteria/suffocation issues, res temps too high cause bacteria to breed quicker.

When was the last time you cleaned your air stones? :D

i have one big airstone and that was almost a week ago i also have some tubing that gives off air in the res i see the h202 working in the res you can see the fizz on the net cup

Photo0518.jpgthis is the water and the only reason its that color is because the nutes no gunk floating around in it or nothing i don't see how the res water could be to hot if the room is staying at a constant 77 and the lights are high away you can't even feel the heat on the res top and i changed the water almost a week from today about 5 days ago problem is i dont want to keep changing and wasting nutes which were expensive

Hey dude, Shame about your brown roots as the plants look like they have potential. My 3rd grow which is currently underway I have similar problems. I am at the same cross roads as you. Dam, which I bleached and cleaned all my equip with some true elbow grease now.

I doubt its lack of oxygen as its hydro? The roots are hanging in oxygen right? Unless you over watered?

yes their hanging in and i doubt i've overwater this is the same set up and water i've used in my last 2 grows witch turned out fine im truly confused and don't want to trash them because their really good plants and they were worst then this the first time but their strong and bounced back started taking off and then a road block again

Your water should not be brown like that. Basically, you need to lower your reservoir temps to 65-68 degrees and add h2o2 every 3 days.

I too had a similar issue with my home built system. Found an awesome product called Dutch Master Zone, ran it on aggressive and all of my root issues have been solved. It strips away harmful bacteria attached to your roots and gives them a fresh start. They came back stronger than ever and now I run the product in my system every rotation. It can be ran with nutes and micro's. I home built a really creative DWC/Drip combo and have found by putting my sprayer on a 15 min run per hour, the roots get a chance to breathe. In the downtime, my resoivoir gets a chance to become oxgen enriched as the air pump stays running in the resoivoir 24/7. Your plants are on the verge of making a comeback and growing well for you. Just a matter of finding that one limiting factor that you are dealing with. Good luck and happy growing.

depends on the type of peroxide you are using...if its 3% then you want to do about 1/2cup/gallon, if its 35% you want about a tablespoon per gallon. Though its best to NOT use the 3% stuff as it has extra stuff added to it to keep it from breaking down, and is not as stable as the 35% stuff thats meant for hydro usage :D

take the net pots and run tap water through the whole pot making sure that goo around the roots are flushed away. The chlorine in the water will kill bacteria thats hiding and not being reached by the h202. but keep up with the h202 still

This is right. Get stronger concentration H202 so you dont run out as quick, you have to add it every 4 days, not just a one off hit.

h202 kills all bacteria even the good one which you desperately need right now, keep your res temp below 65* at all time, do a complete res change and cleaning with a little bleach, rinse the roots with plain tap water before putting back in the system, mix up new nutes ph @6.0, adding h202 every three days is not what you wanna do, if there is not enough disolved oxygen in the res then get a bigger air pump and replace your air stone there tooo cheap to waste time with cleaning and running the risk of infection do to bacteria, i also recomend worm casting/bat guano/ mushroom compose te as it will add lots of good bacteria and add to the root system and help keep the res ph stable
