:wall:

ok, i have read to many debates on this and i need somebody to please clarify something for me ,

in 1 of my grow areas, i can only run 1 intake/outake ruck fan with ducting,
i want to have passive air in or air out holes,
is it more important to have fresh air coming in , or old air exhausting out ?
i have an intake and exhaust in my main grow op , any help on this would be welcomed !!!
thanks in advance........

Id say intake but for positive odor control you need vacume in the room through a scrubber, your trading one for the other
i thought intake aswell as its aimed directly at my 600w hps plus they need fresh air for c02 etc right ,
but i have read that to much old sterile air is bad for bud growth and can cause mold , plus ppl are telling me that a strong exhaust will generate enough of a vacum to draw in fresh air from passive intake holes,
i love the smell i dont do odour control lol ,
thanks for your input but still confused ....
rep fro trying ......

ok if you run a large enough outake yes the vacume will pull in fresh air and you could use a scrubber also, but if theres not enough fresh coming in crack/hole ext.
then there your temps will climb you wont know till you set it up and try, trial and error

trial and error is not a good answer at all my friend , electric is not cheap for 1 and error's cost the wallet ....

Exhausting out is your best bet, as it pulls more efficiently than it can push. Use your exhaust like you have it, and add a small fan at the intake. Computer fan, small house fan, etc. I use a small air purifier than I had layin around. And it filters out un-wanted nasties.

If you have a sufficient enough exhaust it will create negative pressure in the room pulling air in from your intake automatically. It's much more important to have exhaust than intake fans since your exhaust is what is removing the heat from your room. The exhaust should be at the highest point in your room, with your intake on the opposite end of the room close to the ground. Exhaust alone should be adequate for ventilating your room. Make a DIY carbon filter for your exhaust and you shouldn't have to worry about the smell either. Make sure to have the fan AFTER your carbon filter, as you want air pulled through it not pushed into it.

have your fan sucking air out of your grow space through a carbon filter with a larger passive intake with home made fiter cover.....

i have both mine pulling out, i read that these fans are built to pull through a filter rather than push and your filter works better that way, thats why you have a dust cover to put on it......

i have air con in the area , tempeture not really an issue , its more the stale air lingering thing versus more co2 coming in and to be honest my mindset is leaning toward having fresh air in ........

read up they state they pull better than push....the dust cover is to stop the carbon being clogged up.
