i just pulled 7 "points". once the mood sets in i'll go blow them all out. i think i know what to do now. they get that way when you don't pull the point out evenly.

i made 3 pipes and 1 marble in just about an hour. my kiln is full. i could squeeze one more pipe in but i'm kinda tired. if i throw in a second shelf i can double what i put in there. not much to do now but wait ...................................................................

how long are you going to anneal them for??
i think i set it for 2 hours on 1150. i have no idea how long it needs. i think someone said 2 to 3 hours.how long are you going to anneal them for??

From what i understand its rated on the size of your piece and the COE of glass you use, idk im just starting learn this stuff too,this place explains it well

How much $ does the cheapest kiln used for annealing glass like that sell for approximately? I really need a new hobby.

i dont use craigs.. I just use ebay.. small town here no one uses craigs..what are they called besides a "kiln" ? I mean what should I search for?

that's about the smallest you can get away with. it's like an igloo, the whole thing lifts off a plate. you set your finished piece on the kiln plate then cover it with the little igloo cover. you could fit 2 or 3 small pipes in there.

I see,ive always gone by percolators in the tube and diffuserSame thing here is what I'm talking about
on the down stem pretty much the same thing i guess it just how i was taught
