why a pad? i'm doing the same thing with a glow rod. only mine looks way cooler. it doesn't need to be that hot either. and i don't see how it can be "the best way". it's just smoke. it's a little bubbler. just like every other bubbler. 'cept it's got a pad and a funnel. i don't see how one can be "better" than another. that one is kinda ugly.

and doesn't THC react differently at different temps. why does it need to be 2000 degrees? that's what those torches run up to. that titanium is RED hot. i wonder if it's just frying the shit outta the oil. you can't cook a good steak at 2000 degrees. =/

i could be wrong.

u no what works really well tho? ive used a pooky(tweak pipe) im not a tweaker lol i was just in a head shop and saw it one day and was all hmmmm and sure enough it worked excellent

i used a piece of clear tubing. i coil wrapped it in black. then i rolled that in silver shavings. i drew on some caramel and raked it with my tungsten. then i took a bigger piece of clear tubing. heated up the black piece dropped it into the clear piece and blew the black piece out until it sealed with the clear. they call that a "blow IN". then i melt it all together smooth and shape it.

i like to make things that have visual appeal. IMG_3763.jpg

dosnt do custom orders, ive been tryin to get him to remake a bowl that i loved. he says all he can do with it is melt it into a marble

it's been 100+ degrees out for the past week. i haven't been on the torch much. it's supposed to cool off this week. i'm hoping to get out there soon. i want to make some jars. :leaf:

hell yeah its been soarin in the 100s here too. I work in the late afternoon when everything cools down. ill post some more pics up later today.

just made 3 marbles and a spoon. they will be out of the kiln late tonight. :)


i'm kinda stuck on what i want to do. i'm on the edge of being really good. i need to get my welds down and start using more bridges. i have a lot of ideas, i'm just not quite good enough to get them all out. it's frustrating. if i can get as good as i need to be then i will end up making some really cool stuff.

when I got bored with shaping i moved on to pulling tube. if thats not ur cup of tea i would suggest sculpting..i imagine its incredibly hard but im sure it would be fun and probably bring a different aspect to anyones glass game.

do you have a etsy shop? im thinking about starting one up but wondering if product actually sells.

sculpting is actually pretty easy. i've worked with clay in the past so i have a little feel for it. IMG_2858.jpg IMG_3345.jpg

i did a few tube pulls. i have seen some really cool wig wag stuff but i don't have the patience for it. IMG_3123.jpg IMG_2980.jpg
