I just bought a bunch of pint sized jars. Will they be good for curing my crop ??

I’m seeing a lot of different info out there. I just don’t want to run into mold. I bought a case so after my plants hang for a week or two I want to jar them, just not sure how much to put in each jar to avoid mold. Also does hanging in a cardboard box hurt the scent of the buds?? Cause I made a couple dry boxes. Next crop I’m gonna make or buy a drying chamber as always thanks for the help

Might look into integra boost packs.

Make sure you don't jar too moist. The water hides in the inner stem and will wick out when jarred, perhaps causing mold if there is too much moisture still in the buds. So check them a few hours after jarring.

I don't know anything about hanging in cardboard boxes other than other people do it.

A drying chamber is probably a waste of money. A hygrometer is however a great investment.

With many smaller jars it complicates the process of burping and checking the RH% in the jars.

I should note that I am not one for curing, flower should taste good when dried, period. But to each their own.

I just use a spare bathroom shower to hang my girls after harvest. It stays in the 60's @65%RH so I let them hang 10-14 days until the stems are brittle and then I buck them into a brown paper grocery bag for a few days to get the moisture level uniform through the bag. After that it's into the jars, burped for a few days to cure and then a Boveeda to store.

I echo a couple of guys above in that you need to ignore drying in boxes and chambers and just hang in a room.in your house for two weeks.

You know when buds ready to jar because its smokes and taste great. After a week it smokes but takes longer to taste great.

I burp but only to check its stayed dry before longer term storage, the cure is not needed but its good to store it when not using it. After a few months you notice it gets a little smoother possibly a touch stronger but not by a large amount and i rarely can be arsed waiting this long

If you need weed pronto .... hang dry as stated for a ( 10-14 days ) 60~65% Rh , they are pretty much ready to smoke.

If you have lots of product then that’s where boveda and integra ( like these a little better ) will allow long term storage stabilization.
Boveda 62 are common and there are 58’s available.... Curing does smooth the smoke and increase the terpy flavor.


Storage containers can be jars , C Vaults , etc.
Last pic is a 5 month DINAMEX ( Cali Sour x Emerald OG Kush ) .... Still throwing Lemon Diesel Fire !


The “ packs “ just push and pull moisture ( stabilize ) and have other jars running 7 months , slight color difference but still
will knock you on your ass.

I've got a jar still at 64% for like 5 months
No humidity packs

Ok cool good looks. I have a really small house. I think the boxes were my best bet so I didn’t have a bunch of weed hanging all over the place my in laws come over a lot and my mom, so I just stuff the boxes in the closet if I have to. I was super hyped to chop yesterday. thanks for all inp

i got a hygrometer. It was cheap but does the job. As I progress in my setup I will probably get a small humidifier. Thanks

Drying smells stronger than any other part of the growing process. I dry in my tent with the exhaust running 24/7.
Hiding it in your closet wont fool anyone.

Wish I could dry in my tent I started a plant 2 weeks later that the first 2 though
