I like this new light. Mix of T-5 & HPS

That light looks pretty sweet. But $450??? you could grab a 400W HPS and a small MH for the same price. Unless you really need the surface area of t5s, I would go that way. Or, just buy a 400W HPS and supplement it with t5s. You could still save a lot. Is this a desire to rock some UVB lights?

my cab is 2.5ft tall and 5 ft wide, just trying to make the most of some vertical space. and yes, i am also trying to figure out how best to implement some UVB.

2.5 feet tall? You better ScrOG! And with that little height, you should probably go with all t5s. That light will create way too much heat for your space without some SERIOUS venting. With a t5 ScrOG, I think you could achieve greatness. If you do that, you could intermingle some UVB bulbs. An HPS would be too bulky, and take too much space. Just my opinion. I have 4 feet of vertical space, and I barely squeezed a 400W HPS in there comfortably.

I'd be curious to see how the UV-generating CFLs do... I think UV LED bulbs are also incredibly promising. I haven't tried either though...

Also, that fixture would have to be placed far enough away from the plants due to the HPS that the T5s are beyond their useful distance, i believe. Usually you put fluorescent bulbs pretty close to the plant right?
